Spontaneously fermented ale aged for 27 months in french oak. Finished on wild Alaska blueberries. Brewed with Suki and LeeAnn Munk. We love you Roxy.

*Poured into a Teku glass from a 375mL bottle*
I thought that the color on this looked really similarly to wine since it had a dark purple look to it. This also had a aesthetically pleasing pink head to it, but it didn't have much retention. The head when it subsided, left a nice pink lacing around my glass.
The aroma on this was a mix of funky, fruity, and oak-y. You definitely get notes of blueberries and oak upfront, with a bit of earthy undertones throughout which reminded me a bit of mushrooms.
This was pretty sour-forward, which wasn't surprising. You definitely get the sourness coming from the blueberries upfront which were coupled with a bit of funkiness and oak. The fruity flavors of the blueberries actually show up more in the middle and finish. The flavor on this was good, but I thought that the beer finished a bit weak and watery, not really having a lot of strong flavors overall.
The feel on this was pretty medium-bodied and had a moderate amount of carbonation to it. I thought this was very easy to drink, and considering the low ABV on this, that wasn't surprising. This had a dry feel to it on the finish, and it also had a bit of a sour blueberry aftertaste to it which was moderately lingering but not overwhelming.
Overall, I thought this was a good wild ale which used the blueberries well. Even though the flavors on this weren't very strong, I'll be curious to see how this beer will transform over time in my cellar.

Despite, or maybe because of, being headless, the surface is effervescently spritzing over its dark garnet to blood purplish-red body that can seem black without light.
Its tart oaky blueberry has quite a unique character to it, pairing with red wine and a unique shortbread pie crust-list malt that almost seems like an amaretto almond crust.
The silky fluid becomes intensely effervescent quickly, going up and out the nostrils and stinging in a very unique way, which is furthered by its unique spruce-like funk that's very mild but spicy.
The malt or oak is just super weird. It's almost buttery, but not quite, brown butter even. That almond note...I keep coming back to it. Very unusual overall.
