L: A chalky but uniform pale but warm yellow with a finger of ivory head settling quickly to a wisp and ring without lacing.

S: Underripe pineapple and stonefruit, a little astringent and green bordering on cilantro or chives.

T: Follows the nose. Wildly bitter and dry after each swallow. Something floral springs out at random. Like in the aroma, the passionfruit and a little citrus comes out as it warms a bit.

F: Really dry and moderately high in carbonation. Despite the high bitterness the mouthfeel is highly crushable and clean.

O: I never found the guava on this one. While this IPA follows the Anchorage model, I found it less boozy, much drier, and even more bitter. I liked it!

Amazing fruit aromas escape the can upon opening. A hazy, orange juice in color, it pours with a delicate white head that disappears quickly. It has a citrus-forward flavor with a load of guava on the start that finishes with notes of grapefruit and a dry mouthfeel. Admittedly, with every sip the finish was not as dry. Though I would personally like to have a little more softness on the mouthfeel, it is another solid beer from Anchorage Brewing.

Can. White head. Hazy golden sunset.

I think this one has too much fruit in it. It’s overly citrusy. Otherwise it is pretty solid. Tropical and juicy. Floral bitterness. Medium bodied. Hops showing in the finish.

Pours an opaque golden orange with minimal head that goes away rapidly leaving no ring or lacing.

Smell is grapefruit with muted papaya, guava and passion fruit.

Taste is grapefruit passion fruit and guava juice with little else going on.

Feel is medium mouthfeel with medium prickly carbonation.

Overall OK and refreshing but nothing stands out as stellar.
