Canned 6/6/24. “Incognito” stamped on the bottom of the can

You don’t see too many beers advertising the fact that they’re using a hop extract, so it’s interesting to see that stated up front for this one. That combined with the Phantasm powder should make for an interesting beer. Let’s dive right in

Pours a hazy yellow gold with 3 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

This is super vibrant in the nose, very juicy and tropical. I’m picking up on aromas of strawberry, orange juice, grassy hops, overripe peach, cantaloupe, bready malt, mango skin, papaya, light lemon juice, and white grape

It isn’t quite as impactful in taste, but it’s still damn good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tangerine, overripe peach, white grape, bready malt, floral hops, cantaloupe, sweet honey, light strawberry, and orange juice. The swallow brings notes of papaya, overripe cantaloupe, juicy strawberry, bready malt, mango skin, grassy hops, light peach, and whitw grape

A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes neutral and nicely balanced

And we have yet another winner from Anchorage. This is probably the best NEIPA I’ve had from them

Poured from a 16 ounce can into an IPA glass.

Look- Pale gold, frothy white head, hazy, no visible particulate, lively carbonation, above average head retention and lacing.

Smell- Nectarine, tangerine.

Taste- Nectarine, apricot, tangerine, delicate sweet finish.

Feel- Low bitterness, between medium and full body, soft, creamy, zero astringency, mildly mouth coating, surprisingly average carbonation.

Overall- Bouquet pleasant, but not very fragrant or complex. Otherwise this was a fantastic drinking experience. Flavors were delicious and perfectly balanced, feel was like my bed on a weekend morning, look was as good as Gisele Bündchen. I liken this beer to a walk-off grand slam , I just wish I had picked up more than one!
