so awesome to have these guys selling some beer in boise now, and this one is truly astounding, among the best hoppy beers ive had in recent memory, and definitely some of the dopest can art out. an imperial, and it drinks sturdy and bold but not boozy, and its well enough refined that its not so heavy, i was really wowed by this, including its freshness. starchy pale orange with some obvious body but no real sediment in it, a frothy inch of white head and nice lacing too, well carbonated which aids in keeping it from feeling huge, ive had thicker from anchorage. the nose is amazing, pure tropical fruit juice, navel orange, sweet mango, ripe cantaloupe, maybe guava too, like vacation, with a little herbal bitterness there but no real overly green bite to it for this level of intensity, and the grain seems well built to support this, wheaty and fluffy, not sloppy, dry enough without being instantly gone on the swallow, which rules because the hops sit great on the tongue, pineapple and and peach nectar, southern hemisphere to me, but bold as heck. the flavor is just like the nose, but now a little something from the ferment which also works to accentuate the hops, its a little bready but its not english, its a little juicy and zesty but its not one of those haze strains, at least not used like most others are using them if it is, but maybe seems modern and new school. blood orange, passion fruit, grape, apricot, lots of cool fruit comes out as it sits a minute, this hop profile is killer. key lime and coconut come on late, some soapy lathery texture which creams it up and extends it, flashes of malt sweetness or even dextrose still swirling, but its not sweet on the swallow. this is the future of big ipa, really impressive specimen right down to the packaging. this stuff isnt cheap, but you get what you pay for every single time with these guys! this is pure fire.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 8/4/22 into a snifter.

Look- Straw, frothy white head, very hazy, no visible particulate, average head retention, above average lacing.

Smell- Pineapple, melon, passionfruit, very slight coconut, medium strength of scent.

Taste- Pineapple, melon, slight coconut, watery/thin flavor at finish, between weak and medium strength of flavor.

Feel- Between thin and medium body, average carbonation, low bitterness, soft, creamy, no astringency.

Overall- Great look with a nice hazy straw color. Bouquet was dominated by pineapple and melon, but was pleasant. Flavors were nice, but not vibrant. Feel was a little thinner than expected, but the lack of any astringency was very appreciated. Overall solid beer, but I would expect much better than solid based on price and reputation of the brewery.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow golden pour, thin creamy white head. Light floral, citrusy aroma with a hint of vanilla. Taste arrives full and creamy, feels like oats and lactose, but just incredibly soft, tangy. Mouthfeel is off the charts. Sweetness here and there.

Hazy gold body with opaque clarity under two fingers of white foam; never ending cap retention; heavy ring and heavy lacing. Nose is grapefruit, tangerine, peaches and guava; some herbal notes as beer warms. Grapefruit, tangerine, lime, lime passion fruit and peaches; firm malt base; no bitterness. Soft rounded feel almost creamy; full minus body; moderate minus carbonation; no warmth from 8.4% abv; no astringency. Incredible look, nose, taste and mouthfeel; so easy drinking and simply delicious; another awesome DIPA from Anchorage!
