Cellared a year. Pour hyper dark brown with a short live brown collar. Aromas of big bourbon, char, barley, and molasses, with a second level of cognac, caramel, raisin, toasty earth and wood, with a kiss of vanillins. Taste adds some plum, otherwise the same. Feel is heavy and thick, boozy with a toasty emphasis, chewy yet smooth. Really well done

poured from a silver-waxed (this is batch 2 silver wax from 10/23) 375mL bottle into a SP 10 year whiskey glass. pours thick and dark brown with a quick-to-fade dark brown foam cap. huge whiskey barrel on the nose with sweet toffee and light dark fruits. taste is toffee, caramels, butterscotch, bourbon, oak with light vanilla. it’s sweeter at colder temps but as it warms the barrel treatments balance that out. thick, full mouthfeel. not a ton of carb to this. somewhat syrupy. for some reason or other this seems like the most tame TO ADWTD i’ve had as far as the barrels goes. that’s not to say it isn’t there, because it is big time but this seems much more balanced to me. it’s a little less intense but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
