Hazy, yellow color. Big, white head. Mango, other tropical fruits, and malt in the aroma.Rather sweet, moderately juicy taste with some hoppy bitterness at the end.

Anchorage continues to be landing here in Idaho in force, but their current quality doesn't seem to be meeting the standards from the first few brews I tried, which were very good. Lately their overabundance of New England IPA's are pretty simple, not shining examples of the style which I would expect for the name and $$$. This one boasts El Dorado, Incognito and Strata hops and fermented with Thiol-boosting yeast. There are some notes in the actual beer that line up with that description, but for the most part I'd have to disagree; this one has gotten funky already, it reminds me of a Belgian IPA; there is some fruity funk, also some notes of clove and banana, overripe fruit, minor spicing and some earthiness. Not my favorite at all.
