This was part of an order that I made at the tail end of last year on Tavour, as it looked interesting and had a label that was hopefully on par with the liquid inside. For some reason, this came across as just a tad too strong and exotic for me as this felt every bit as strong as it's listed ABV%. If you're into potent brews with a different hop profile than the typical, you've met your match with this offering!
Hazy and golden, this poured like an IPA from these parts as it was topped off with a nice, even foam that took it's time to settle down. That never fully happened as the suds were present throughout with thin rings of lacing remaining in the middle of my pint glass that had a ton of leopard-like spots below that. Deep, turbid tropical fruit was on the nose with hints of dank forest, weed, and heavy peach as that was also the case with the heavy-handed taste. Some Hawaiian Punch, fruit cocktail, and hops came in once this warmed up as it was a bit dry in the back. A hint of mineral water stayed in the aftertaste as I nearly needed a shot of water to fully get this down.
So much booze and heft in this as it was not a easy sipper. No doubt I felt the buzz kick in before I finished this off as I wish it was toned down a notch. Dated 12/8 on the bottom of the can with "SPLIT" written above it, this was fine once but deserved another go around fresher, even though there were only a few bits of dark sediment floating in it. I'm not a fan of solvent but that was the lasting impression this left on me, as it was potent in every aspect!
