stoked to have these cans around these parts, been loving their stuff, even though some of the hoppy ones come across as a little overengineered at times, the latest couple ive had have been off the charts. this one is killer, sturdy for sure, but with an awesome hop profile which makes it quite unique, i was definitely impressed, and my increasingly particular father in law was stoked as well, the true mark of a good hazy! if this is all motueka hops, i am learning something new about them in this beer, i get some usual citrus and melon notes, maybe a little springy white wine, but its the stone fruitiness that is not expected for me with this varietal, big juicy peach and fuzzy apricot notes in the nose and taste on this, really forward too, almost candied, in aroma and in flavor, very little difference there. this is pretty hazy to look at, gorgeous puffy white head almost belgian airiness, and thats a better indication of texture in this beer, not as heavy as it looks at all, wonderful carbonation keeping it moving, creamy slightly, but faster on the palate than most, a top textured ipa for these guys in my opinion. pineapple from the can, overripe peaches, lemon curd, and just a bit of an herbal bitterness on the finish, really juicy, fresh, and fruity, with a very well hidden alcohol strength and a ton of uniqueness from the hops. for what sounds like a single hop beer, this has a lot going on. another side of motueka, really really good!
