Cloudy, orange color. Tropical fruits, melon, and dank hops in the aroma. Hoppy, moderately bitter taste with some astringency at the end

Triple IPA's are so insanely good these days; this one is no exception. Beautiful deep golden haze capped with a massive white head of foam. The nose pops with fresh tropical fruit and floral character, limey-citrus as well as some dank white wine. Hefty mouthfeel at this abv, the palate is full-up with orange, grapefruit, green grape/white wine character and a bread-like foundation of malt presence. Consumed at fridge temps, the alcohol isn't too noticeable to me. Good stuff.

Finishing the night, I went heavy with this triple. The frothy and creamy hard pour created a marvelous two-fingered bright white head that dissipated slowly, leaving a generous amount of lacing on the glass. The beer's straw shade, which has a lovely light amber hue that scored a solid six on the color charts, is highlighted by its hazy appearance and yeast floaties. This mesmerizing start for a triple hinting at a memorable taste and aroma.
The Nelson hops take the stage, exuding notes of white wine, gooseberries, and floral blossoms. Upon nosing the glass again, I was greeted by the aromas of juicy oranges, passion fruit, earthiness, peaches, and a hint of dank. The malt, a perfect balance of crackers, toasted bread crust, and lightly toasted cereal grains, adds depth to the brew. The hop profile, a testament to the brewer's skill, is complex and refined.
Anticipating the dominance of the Nelson hops, I was pleasantly surprised by the collective harmony of the hop profile. The flavors that dance on my palate are a delightful medley of floral blossoms, gooseberries, orange peel, pineapple, passion fruit, peaches, dankiness, grapefruit, earthiness, and a hint of resin. The malt profile, with its notes of crackers, toasted cereal grains, and bready, provides a solid foundation. The familiar Nelson hop flavor on the finish adds a subtle white wine note, a perfect ending to this symphony of flavors.
The mouthfeel is astringent and smooth, and the finish is dry. The body is medium and has medium carbonation.
The brewers used a deft hand in creating a monster IPA using hops to craft a delicious beer. I love how they dabble with loads of different hop profiles and malt combinations, coming up with solid IPAs. I would not classify this as a Hazy New England IPA, but a Hazy IPA—a fantastic finish to the night.
