Who is the color of Carroll mall leaving a white head. That gives way to nice lacing. The nose is kind of toasty and you can smell the alcohol as well. The taste is Piney bitterness, and the alcohol burns slightly as it goes down.

I love Anchorage. I love that without Tavour, I would probably have never experienced any of their beers. They make amazing, amazing, amazing barrel, aged beers (only basing this on personal experience of about 8 of them). They also have a great reputation for IPAs, which I have also enjoyed (this is my 13th if that style from them). And the best thing about them, in my opinion, and this one definitely exemplifies it, is that the descriptions read like a fucking science project. I half expect them to tell me what the brewer had going on in his personal life at that point, that’s how detailed they get, and that’s just on the label.
Anyway, to the review…
Hazy bronze/copper colors, mild head and lacing. West coast vibe on the smell and taste. Name four words to describe it: Piney. Dank. Bitter. Resin. However, there’s a rank after scent that bugs me. Definitely a Cryo feel to this, as I’ve had enough of those hops to get a sense of them. This seems like an angry IPA, like the hops want to hurt you. Almost Barleywine in the feel. Reminds me a lot of DFH120, but there’s something lacking in comparison here. I may open up a 120 to compare, but on this one’s merits alone, the Cryo nature hurts it for some reason. I like it, but I definitely don’t love it.

A Tavour Treat. Pours a medium copper color with a foamy head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of grains with floral overtones. Taste is spicy with a lot of hoppy bitterness and a strong alcohol taste.

16oz can from Tavour. Cloudy amber pour, one finger off-white head recedes to foamy ring. Malty aroma, caramel, boozy notes. Taste is sweet and strong, caramel, tannic. Doesn't take long to heat up, ABV keeps it lit up throughout. A real malt bomb.
