Poured from a 375mL copper(?)-waxed bottle into a SP 10-year whiskey glass. Pours a deep, deep mahogany to chestnut brown with a few carbonation bubbles that try to form a collar but fail. I get just as much amaretto and caramel-covered wet cardboard as I do whiskey barrel. As it warms the barrel becomes more pronounced and intense but the base beer still shines through with caramel, cherry and raisin. Taste has more sweet toffee and caramel with hints of heavily bourbon-soaked milk chocolate. It’s intense but also perfect. Lots of booze but what does one expect given the quad-oaked descriptor. Full mouthfeel with a thick and malty finish. A touch dry from the oak barrels. The price on this bottle was ridiculous but happy to have tried it as it is amazing. Full of sweet caramel and toffee flavors with booze-soaked raisins mixed in there to cut the sweetness. Strong but honestly doesn’t drink at its abv. Really good.

Super dark brown body that pours like oil. Overall this is clearly beefed up with barrels but not out of control. Taste features booze with an emphasis on caramel notes, oak, and molasses with it. Supporting dark fruit, rye, dark fruit, and barley. But isn't as refined as the series usually is, guess we found the point where ADWTD starts to denature a bit. Smell is much the same but more barrel forward. Feel is boozy and massive bodied, pretty thick and heavy, yet still decently smooth. Prefer less barrels but this is still a great beer
