Horus triple-oaked imperial stout aged 28 months in Amburana barrels blended with triple-oaked black barleywine aged 25 months in a mix of Buffalo Trace, 18-year Knob Creek and 1792 Calumet Farm bourbon barrels, then finished on toasted coconut.

poured from a black-waxed 375mL bottle into a TG DBA tumbler. pours dark brown with a full layer of coconut floaties on top. rich toasted coconut, vanilla, chocolate and whiskey on the nose. taste follows with a cinnamon/amburana finish. full mouthfeel. sticky and low carbed. the coconut addition helps mask the very strong aroma and flavor of the amburana barrels, which for me is a welcome distraction. liked this more than #1, but i think that’s because it needed something.
