Great beer! Pours a hazy straw with a nice head that settles in. Its characteristics are all Belgian. From the yeasty flavor to the sweet finish. The oak from the foeder is present but not overwhelming. I love the beer and at 8% it's a little more drinkable that a lot of Belgian Strongs!

Gladly received from @Beergoot, which was beautifully rated by my dude. Hmmm, I find I really enjoyed this one, and always wanted to try Anchorage Brew Company. Pours light semi translucent , fruity floral aroma. I like this lighter take on a Belgian strong golden ale, call me a lightweight Dave, I’ll enjoy every brew you throw my way!!

Translucent apricot yellow body; thick head, white and densely foamy, fat fingers and rings of foam cling to the glass. Fruity esters on the nose; berries, peach and apricot elements. Weak, somewhat watery taste despite notes of raw oak and subtle esters; finishes with a moderately intense bitterness. Medium body; coarse on the palate; very dry overall.
I had high hopes for this upon the pour and the aroma, but the rather weak flavor quickly killed any unbridled enthusiasm I might have had for this beer. Don't get me wrong. The beer is drinkable, certainly isn't bad tasting, but there is a lack of depth to the taste while the mouthfeel also feels off for the style.

HD on tap at Anchorage tap room. Bright refreshing Belgian pale. Full of field and wood but not overbearing. Pear, green apple and hints of hay. Nothing overbearing; nicely balanced. A bit dank on back end. Carb is a bit bright for me, but doesn’t really bite/distract. Decent plumy white head; dissipates with excellent lacing. Very nice soft yellow gold; looks somewhat unfiltered.
Not what I usually get from Anchorage/ bottled at home, but seemed most interesting on today’s tap list.
Overall reminds me a bit of Crooked Stave or Almanac more so than something more delicate/refined. Above average. Enjoyed/glad I had it.

really neat beer, somewhat unexpected from these guys, a foeder aged belgian strong ale, not a bretty funky thing, which i thought all their foeder beer was, so this caught me a little bit off guard on our visit, but its really well done, subtle in the right ways, lighter in body than expected and hiding its alcohol extremely well, naturally carbonated, fairly woody, clean though, and nuanced. bright golden in the glass, has a sexy inch of thick white foam on top that is easily roused back up when it settles a bit, not crystal clear but well refined looking anyway, as active as is demanded of a belgian style like this. honey colored and pretty. the aroma is floral, peachy, light bubblegum esters, and subtle pear and apple, warming vanilla from the oak, the yeast not running wild, and the grain kind of tame and light for what it is, no sign of its strength, noble type hops, dried lawn in high summer. the flavor is just as good, less of the stone fruit more cooked pear and green apple, white wine grape, white flowers, not overly estery and staying away from phenolic. the oak is distinct but quite subtle, and there is no brett or funk to this at all, which i thought their might be. lighter in body too than a lot of these and dangerously easy. feels and tastes like spring, something optimistic about this, really into it! dont mind the subtle residual sugar at all and this has some nice fresh hop character too, decent bitterness, awesome balance.
