Canned 6/6/24. “Pride” stamped on the bottom of the can
Anhcorage has impressed me with its hoppy beers and big beers primarily, but will they still impress when this IPA only weighs in at 4%? I think they’ve got it figured out. I can’t say I’ve had many beers single hopped with Riwaka, but I’m intrigued. Let’s get into it
Pours a hazy pale yellow with 3 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is vibrant yet shows a nice restraint. I’m picking up on aromas of passion fruit, lime zest, crackery malt, grapefruit zest, wildflower honey, pineapple juice, and light grass
In taste unfortunately it’s a bit less nuanced, leaning a bit into bland territory. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lime zest, bready malt, white pepper, grassy hops, mango skin, and light lemon zest. The swallow brings notes of mango skin, bready malt, honey, grassy hops, lemon zest, and white pepper
A light body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes mostly dry with a firm bitterness
This one is a tad bland but what’s here is still nice. At least it goes down easy

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
