Pours crystal clear amber color with a thin and lacy white head. The aroma is very light and vague with hints of sweet malt. The flavor is very malty and smoky with no hop presence at all. The body is very light and has high levels of carbonation causing the beer to continue the smokiness (very inappropriate off flavor) through the finish and end quickly.

Served up in a pint glass with a good 1/2" head of off-white foam. As the head disipated, it left very nice lacing on the glass. The beer is a yellow-orange in color.
Nose: rather subdued. A bit of aromatic hops shines through.
Taste: Not a hop bomb... and certainly not as hoppy as the "Eighty Five". But this is a nice APA with a nice flavor that is well balanced with hops and malt.
MF: Smooth and creamy.
Drink: All day long....SOLID!

Presentation: Had on tap at Lafayette Brewing Company.
Appearance: Beer is apricot amber, with a ring of big-bubbled foam.
Smell: Slightly sour, with a bitter hop aroma.
Taste: Smooth blend of malt and floral hops with a slightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Low carbonation level, as is typical of most LBC offerings.
Drinkabil;ity: Okay, but not one of my favorites from LBC.

This is probably the LBC's flagship. A nice pale ale similar to SNPA. It pours a nice copper color with a quickly disapating white head. There is a strong hop profile in this beer, some "c" hop i would assume. Aroma is nice and citric. This is an extremely smooth beer, and although a lot of hops are present, a nice malt backbone keeps this beer balanced. This is a very drinkable solid beer. I think it would make a great introduction to the micro brew world for some people as this was the gateway beer for some of my friends.
