Presentation: Had this one while waiting for them to fill my growler with one of their other offerings. Arrived in an Imperial pint with a lemon wedge on the side.
Appearance: Very little head, maybe 1/4 inch, that disappears ver quickly. Drops to next to nothing. Some lacing on the glass. The beer itself is very light and almost clear. Looks more like a slightly cloudy Budweiser than a hefeweizen.
Smell: Strong lemon aroma, hard to distinguish if this is fromt he beer or the lemon on the glass. Piney aroma, almost like Pine-Sol.
Taste: Wow, this tastes like a mix of lemon juice and Pine-Sol, not pleasant at all! A slight bitterness itn he finish, but none of the noble hop flavor you expect from a true hefeweizen.
Mouthfeel: Carbonation is average for LBC. Body is thin.
Drinkability: My first and last Whitetail Wheat. LBC seems to always have solid English style beers, but anything else is hit or miss. This is a miss. By a mile.
