The color is straw with green highlight under half an inch of foam that dissipates slowly but not before staining the glass all the way down with thick lace. Smell is mangoes, floral, and guava. Love those galaxy hops!
Flavor is grassy and floral with tropical fruit esthers dominant. Rounded flavor, if that makes any sense, with the astringency high in the mouth, almost to the palate and sinus. Drying finish. Mouthful medium.
Another fabulous new beer at LBC: a wonderful, astringent AIPA.
The brewery describes it: IdaPils and crystal malts along with healthy additions of Galaxy, Chinook and a touch of Amarillo hops. A classic American IPA weighing in at 5.9% ABV with 80 IBUs.
