Poured from the tap into a pint glass at the Hengshan Rd. location.
A: Dark hazy amber red-orange color with an offwhite head that has good retention.
S: Super spicy smelling - mainly cinnamon and nutmeg. Wow this is like smelling a Christmas broom or cinnamon stick. Slight pumpkin spice and bread deep within.
T: A bit more balance here. Still heavy on the cinnamon but with an added clove note. Pumpkin and crust are there in the beginning but then just covered with spices, making this one kind of a mess and somewhat hard to drink a lot of.
Overall, definitely could use way fewer spices. This seems like the brewer was experimenting with a new style and seeing what the result is. With some tweaks this could be pretty good.
