On tap at Hopmonk Tavern in Sebastopol, CA
Arrives a reddish-brown with thick head that hangs around. Smell is caramel and banana. Taste is smooth; sweet with a mild bitterness and spice. Medium bodied and chewy.
Not bad, but with all the beers this bar offers, their brand beers don't stand out.

Sampled 4/29/2011 at the brewpub.
Pours dark red, a bit hazy, dense low white head, decent retention and lacing.
Aroma is lots of bubblegum and banana without much else, aside from a bit of caramel malt.
Flavor is pretty one dimensional, well actually two. Banana and bubblegum are the vast majority of what you'll taste. If you look for it you might find a bit of clove, caramel, and medium bitterness. Not a great example of the style but enjoyable none the less.
Body is medium, not bad over all.
