This beer pours a murky brown color with a small head.

The smell dominated by a tartness with a fruity yeast smell. The malts add a caramellic smell. Not a very complex smell. No sign of hops.

Taste is tart, a medium tartness. Not overly sour, but a dash of lactic acid. I am not sure this is ment to be like this. There is a 2-dimensional malt presence, with the caramel malt. This reminds of light chocolate and candisugar. The body is light and watery. No carbonation issues.

The beer is certainly not a smoked beer, more like a sour Dubbel.
