Webby sandstone over pale amber that rims immediately and leave chunky lace.
Orange blossom and elderflower nose.
Solid biscuit malts with some jam then orange peel, nectar and perfume hops.
Citrus oil and fruity (kumquat?) end and dry finish that goes powdery as it warms.
Medium, chewy and clingy.

Entered this as an APA not just because that's what's on the label but also because the 7.5% is buried and the hops eschew both IBUs and aroma in favor of a heavy floral oiliness. This is part of WG's new range in 750ml bottles that is meant as a food beer, and with that in mind, I can see how this hop character would take on spicy or highly seasoned foods (as IPAs do) but also step back (because there's not big bitterness) if faced with something like, say, duck.

Having said all that, it does need food to keep from going gloopy, and I won't mind a bit more crispness and zing from the hops.

Interesting and idiosyncratic, as I'd expect from this brewer.
