Wow, here is a big beautiful belgian-inspired imperial IPA with amazingly complex flavor and pure mouthfeel. Belgian yeast combined with banana-orange zest bitterness and a hoppy west coast hop profile. This combination of two classic styles is a true success. Pours IPA copper with lasting head retention. At 9% ABV, the alcholic warmth paired with flavor and soft but not limp mouthfeel invites you to drink more. I can imagine this beer would taste like a well balanced mix of Triple Voodoo's Anarchy IPA and Breaka Dawn Belgian Pale Ale.

Pours a hazy dark orangey amber in the tall wine glass. Plenty of head in the glass and lots of carbonation on the tongue. Prickly mouthfeel with a medium body. Interesting perfumey aroma.

Hot with alcohol and full of hoppy flavors. Moderately bitter but it intensifies at the finish. Rather acidic. Some dank and herbal taste. Very fragrantly flavored with some sharp pineapple and a grapefruit nose. Burnt sugar and a touch of vanilla. Orange peels and orange liqueur.

A interesting and very powerful take on the DIPA style. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Liticker's Liquors in Ocean Beach.

On tap at Field Of Drafts held at The Hanger in Lancaster, CA.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and brown sugar flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but the hop presence is fairly subdued all around for the style.
