A: Pours a cloudy pale color with a fair amount of fluffy white head. The head dissipates to a thin film with a ring around the glass, and leaves lots of spots of lacing.
S: Sweet Belgian style spices, fruit, and yeast. Fairly subdued, and doesn't stand out as particularly interesting (the oak is pretty subtle - I think I can detect some, but I'm looking for it), but pleasant enough.
T: Sweet dense fruit, with light grain throughout, especially towards the finish. The finish is lightly astringent and just a touch hoppy.
M: Medium body, medium carbonation.
Overall, good, but not spectacular. I've had better beers (in the same style) that were not limited, so I'm not too sad that I probably won't get to have this again, but I'd certainly accept some if offered.

Haven't tried many things from Triple Voodoo but i have heard mixed reviews and finally this came into my lap to review. This one is a barrel aged version which is interesting and hopefully surprising.
A - When poured into a Goblet it comes out quite flat and with low head and does not keep. The white quick foam head dissipates and is left with very few bubbles around the glass. The color is almost a dark burnt caramel and super hazy.
S -Smells like a hybrid of a funky saison but at the same time a belgian double/triple. I get lots of honey, bananas and booze smell from this The alcohol smell is more apparent than anything in this beer which is interesting because this is only clocked in at 8%.
T - Lots of honey and almost a slight hint of blackberry/raspberry hybrid when it is going down. Lots of upfront boozyness to get good flavor notes in.
M - Flat for a belgian style ale and not really preferred when drinking this style. A little bit mroe carbonation would go a long way with this. I feel i am able to drink this quite quickly because of the lack of carbonation and maybe since this one is barrel aged it has lost some carbonation. I would like to try the regular version just to see if this is a difference between the two.
O - It is a easily drinkable beer. If i was in a blind taste test i would probably say this tastes more like a higher abv saison than a belgian style ale. I would like to try the non barrel aged one to get a better reference point on what the original tastes like before reviewing this again. If i saw this bottle again on the store i probably pass but it was a great average Belgian style beer.

S - Aroma is a mix of sweet bready malts, Belgian yeast, citrus hops, oak, vanilla, Bourbon, some spices and a bit of booze.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet bready malts with some citrus hops, coriander and other spices, a touch of lemon zest, and some vanilla. Through the middle, oak and Bourbon come through with some fuller Belgian yeast flavor, some fruity esters, and some more spices. The finish is a mix of sweet bready malts, oak, Bourbon, citrus hops, very mild bitterness, Belgian yeast, and some booze.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a warming, dry, and spicy finish.
D - Very drinkable. The barrel character is nice and balanced and not overpowering. Adds nice complexity to the base beer.
