Described to me by the bartender who volunteered a little too quickly that he knew almost nothing about beers that this was a "sour ale"...I'm a big sour ale fan.
Beer is ruby and clear with a thin off white head, small bubbles, low retention, no lacing, moderate to low carbonation.
Aroma is odd, fusel and sweet with this metallic sense to it, mildly lactic. Ummm....
Beer is medium to light in body, really metallic on the finish, the lactic contribution is really low, there is no acetic acid or succinic, it is an odd, lack of that "flanders" character, mild fruitiness (is there a fruit in here?) I drank the pint but I definitely won't repeat it.

Brewed for winter solstice. Sour mash with spices.
A: clear copper color, some head
S: deep, full roasted malt with tons of spices
T: slight sourness with roasted malt, spices don't dominate, well-done with tons of things going on, I like it!
M: milder mouthfeel but it works

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
