Poured dark copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt and earthy aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. A good drinkable beer.

Like many here on BA, I'm a big beer guy. No ABV is too high for me enjoy a pint. So I approached this beer wondering "Will I even like a beer with an ABV this low"? And the answer is a resounding, "YES".

first a little note from Roger regarding the history of this style.
"Abzug - In the mid to late 1800s, Viennese brewers produced a series of amber lager beers. The strongest was what we now call Marzen or Oktoberfest and the middle beer was just called Vienna. The weakest of the three was called Abzug, which means reduction in German"

Remarkably refreshing with just enough of a hop bite to keep it interesting, but is a great beer. Medium golden color, crisp mouthfeel and a dry finish.
