A strong British Ale, a “Wee Heavy” in Scotland or Old (Stock) Ale in England, this historical beer was brewed to be blended in other beers or served on special occasions, particularly cold evenings by the fire. Amber to brown in colour with rich malt and fruity esters on the nose – the palate can expect malty, toffee/caramel flavours with light bitter balance from the hops, ending with a warming alcohol smooth finish.

A: The beer is brown when viewed from afar; when held up to the light it is clear dark red in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high beige colored head.
S: Moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with notes of dark fruits.
T: The taste has flavors of dark malts and dark fruits along with hints of toffee and associated sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a lot lighter in body compared to other beers in the style, but still has some nice malty aromas and flavors. It is very easy to drink for something that is so malty.
