They call this an "Imperial Red IPA" and its color is definitely a dark red amber. The foam is even beige, and abundant in the Orval chalice. Quite aromatic with citrus peel. Malty and a little sweet, but tangy with a sharp finish. Woody, lemony, and a little astringent.
PIney and resiny with a funny wintergreen sort of taste with a hint of menthol. This gets fairly bitter as the dankness descends into the grapefruit peel that goes on forever. From the 22 oz bottle purchased (where else) at Central Market, which is Town & Country's brand.
