Pours a hazy honey orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, earth, and pine needle flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop and earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with solid citrus and herbal hop aromas, but the flavors are quite earthy with the dry mouthfeel making it a bit rough.
