On tap at the brewery – Vista, CA
Full pint – 01/29/2015
A: Light golden caramel color body with some nice clarity to it. Has just a smidge of haze going on but otherwise nice and crystal. My pint arrives with a choppy two finger cap of ivory cream. Fair amount of hang to it and some mild streaks and dots of lace noted.
S: Catty herbs with pine resin and tangerine peel. Very nice and fresh hops up front. Has a spike of dank Mary Jane to it which I love. Some light sugary malt elements present in the background. Real pungent this one is.
T: Tastes super hoppy and resinous with a nice scouring bitterness that hits mid palate. Delivers some really fresh greens by way of catty eucalyptus, tangerine, lemon-lime, and pine sap. Incredibly well balanced with a backing of bready malt cracker to it. Finish is super dry and crisp with no trace of alcohol and a nice lasting linger to it. Very tasty indeed.
M: Very light and crisp. Big hop bitterness that constricts the palate. Finishes out dry with a nice resinous linger of hop oils and malt sugars.
D: This was a tasty little number worth checking out. A great crushable hop puncher that maintains solid balance throughout. The new brewer they have down here is putting out some real quality I must say.
