A: The pour is a clear golden color with a white head that recedes somewhat quickly.

S: The aroma has a decent hoppiness to it. Some mild grapefruit and orange notes and a slight bit of pine. The rest of the nose is made up of caramel malts.

T: The flavor is about what you would expect from the aroma. A bit of citrus on the front with the caramel malt doing the majority of the work. The finish has a nice bitterness to it.

M: The mouthfeel was a touch thin and watery and the carbonation was appropriate.

D: Another easy to drink pale ale (as if there weren't enough of them). I wasn't totally crazy about the beer, but with some pizza, it's wouldn't be a bad pint to have.

Unpleasant.

Pours a very, very pale golden yellow. One of the lightest colored beers I've ever seen. Smells ... like nothing. Maybe faintly of a bittering agent of some sort.

Taste is nothing more than a bit of background, watery, acrid bitterness. Really not a pale ale, and more watery than anything else.

Too light, too watery, don't try.

Consumed 04/14/08.

Clear yellow beer with bubbles that continued to rise long after my other tasters had gone flat. No head to speak of, however.

No aroma.

Watery beer. Flavor is all aftertaste: some sweet caramel maltiness and parching up front but a delayed, lingering and strong bitter hop flavor comes out after each swallow, dominating the flavor.

Not balanced or enjoyable to drink.

This was poured into a pint glass and created some nice foam that disapeared relatively quickly. The color was golden and it was clear. It smelled of hops, probably the same that they use in their IPA. There was a tiny bit of malt smell in the background.

The taste was very west coast pale ale. Rather bitter for the style and a bit dry on the aftertaste but balanced by a little bit of malt flavor. The body was medium thickness and it was relatively drinkable.

The beer poured a rich old gold with a white head. The aroma was of malt and floral hops. The taste was malt at the start and floral hops at the finish. The feel was medium and dry. The best beer I had at backstreet the brewer understood this style and used the hops to get a rich floral aroma and finish on the beer.

Appearance: Rocky single-finger collar of foam with copper colored body and axcellent clarity

Aroma: Subtle hop aroma for an APA

Taste: Floral Cascade and Columbia hops leave a nice lasting impression on the palate

Mouthfeel: Nice...very little thinness and a pleasant hop-coating for the tongue.

Drinkability: Fully acceptable as an all-day affair!
