Appearance: Pours with a medium-colored hazy body with a creamy single-finger collar of foam. The beer is unfiltered and slightly hazy with good to very good lacing as the brew is consumed
Aroma: The aroma is somewhat lighter than I have come to expect from West Coast IPA's...yes, the hops were present but instead of overwhelming the olfactory, they complimented the maltiness also present in the nose
Taste: Since this beer is brewed with a blend of seven hops and includes a full brewers cut of Tomahawks...I braced for a palate-numbing explosion which never happened. What did occur was most unexpected and pleasant...I tasted the fine slightly roasted malt in its full glory before experiencing the citrus bite of the Tommys. Nice!
Mouthfeel: Extremely well-balanced with full flavor without the lasting effects of a Ruination or DFH 90...
Drinkability: Well above average....one can only wish that this selection becomes a year 'round offering
