On tap at Backstreet Vista.

A: Golden yellow with a creamy white head.

S: Lightly sweet grain with a little lemon. I'm having trouble coaxing much out of this. There's a little grassiness.

T: Low bitterness with grainy malt and a light sweetness. Finish has a little mineral.

M: Upper light body with creamy carbonation.

Overall: This beer doesn't taste like a Hefeweizen or a wheat beer at all. I'm sort of confused by it. Nothing is offensive about it, there just isn't much going on.

Hazy (not cloudy) yellow with a fluffy white cap that lingered. Light aroma, some lemony wheat character and that was it. Thin flavour, some sour wheat with a bit of lemon and slightly harsh, grassy bitterness. Light bodied, bordering on thin, dry, grainy texture. Not impressed. This really misses the mark for the advertised style.

Had on tap at the brewery...

A- Poured a hazy yellow color. Half finger white head dies down and leaves no lacing on the glass.

S- Very faint wheat notes with some light citrus and that's about it.

T- Once again there is a light citrus tone with a wheat backbone. Nothing else to this which makes it very underwhelming.

M- Light mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the beer. Wheat undertones left on the palate with a light citrus and alcohol in the aftertaste. No drying on the palate. Flavors were dull, dead, and faded.

D- This was a terrible beer for the style. I don't know what happened here but it was very underwhelming. Nothing I have had here wowed me which is a little sad.

They seem to constantly rename this beer, but it always seems to be the same brew. Pours a golden yellow with a big white sudsy head. Smells like lemon zest, some yeast, and a bit of bananas.

Taste is decent. Hefeweizens aren't my thing, and this isn't close to my favorite of the style. Taste is weak, but some sweet bananas, lemons, and a bit of spice to it (but not much cloves).

Decent mouthfeel, if watery.

A-Hazy light golden yellow with a thin white head that reduced to a ring and left spotty lacing.

S-A bit of wheat maly earthiness and a hint of citrus. All faint though and barely detectable.

T-Light lemony citrus flavours. No clove or banana to speak of. Not very exciting.

M-Light body with a sharp twang from the lemon flavours. Overall a bit thin feeling though.

D-Not too bad...at least it has some flavour. A bit to pedestrain of a hefe for my liking. If looking for a "light" beer here steer yourself towards the Pils.

Consumed 04/14/08.

Cloudy (unfiltered) pale yellow. Almost no head.

No aroma.

Slight sweetness up front with minimal wheat flavor. A vague spiciness of black pepper is the only flavor that really rose out of the watery background.

Not a very good beer.

This is an american wheat beer, not sure which beer style to choose. Its brewed all the time.

This beer pours a yellowish color, I think "straw" might be a good description. It produced little to no head. Atleast it looked smooth. It smelled strongly of wheat and that was about it. Couldn't detect much else on the nose. The taste was sour and of wheat. There was a little pale malt in the background but the sourness of the wheat was kinda distracting. I'm not sure that this is a hefe weizen at all, as there was no flavor of yeast present. It had a decent body to it and was mildly drinkable, not one of my favorites. My roomate enjoyed it however.

The beer poured a cloudy straw gold with a decent white head. The aroma was of light malt. The taste was simply light malt. The feel was light and dry. As a beer this one was ok, but as a Hefeweizen it was sorely lacking. The wheat seemed to be missing although there was plenty of yeast still present.
