Pours orange. No real head.
Smells like sweet candy. That's it. Just sweetness.
Taste is incredibly one-note. I don't get bubble gum, I get pure sugary sugar. I mean, this has known of the complexity I associate with the style, or with Belgian beers in general. It's just a super sweet, watery ale.
Avoid.

Consumed 04/14/08.
Clear copper color. No head. No active carbonation.
Aromas of solvent and bubble gum.
Flavor is sweet, redolent with bubble gum. Finishes clean, but with a resiny sweet aftertatse which is a bit cloying. A slight peppery spice helps cut that, but not quite enough.
Not a terribly accomplished tripel.
