This beer was new on-tap, for the fall season, so I grabbed a pint. On to the beer:
This beer arrived a conservative amber/orange color....colors of fall, but nothing showy. Solid aroma of several malts, again reminds me of fall. To taste, it passes the test for an O-Fest, but runs into some bumps in the road. First, the booze is rough on the palate. Second, the carbonation, while not overcarbonated, is springy and takes away from the enjoyement. Lasty, it brushes something salty-tasting in my mouth. Given those criticisms, the varieties of malt creates a good bouquet of malty flavor (though I can't pinpoint any specific flavors) you would expect in the style, and the spicy hopped finish is a good touch. If you're looking to try this beer, prepare yourself to take the bad with the good.
