Growler courtesy of stoad at k3n's tasting, a growler from the Ladera Ranch location,
A: Pours a pink grapefruit juice colour, with a soft smattering of bubbles.
S: At first I described it as a mix between rotten fruit, ammonia/cat box and cheese(brie-like). The second glass brought some throw-up funk and the third brought a nice guava/passion-fruit. The nose is very weird and is unpleasant at times, but it's also quite complex and interesting.
T: The flavour is much more fruit forward than the nose, nice raspberry, some acetic acid with a note of cheese-like funk.
M: Moderately acidic, zippy carbonation, light-bodied.
D: This could be a love it or hate it beer, but I certainly had a good time delving into it.

Had at the Culver location of Lamppost pizza. I think I've been underappreciating this brewery, and allowing the disappointing Bayhawk to steer me away from local offerings.
Pours a cloudy pinkish amber. Unusual looking.
Smells of tart vinegar with an offsetting too artificial berry sweetness. Hmm... maybe some yeast in the nose.
Taste is better, though the berry/sweet current is too predominant and too "fruit juicy." Actually, I think this might have been a better beer if they just left out the berry notes, as the underlying tart vinegar and yeast is pleasant, if unspectacular.
Nice fizzy mouthfeel. Good to see some brewers still carbonate their beers.
