On-tap at the Ladera Ranch location,
A: Pours amber, with a moderate white head, some lace.
S: Rye malt, spice, cedar-box hops.
T: Full flavour of spicy rye bread, some caramel, toasted bread. Good balance in the hops, a mix of pine and citrus.
M: Smooth, medium-bodied, relatively clean finish.
D: Another real nice beer from Back Street, the 2 beers I've had from them thus far have been really solid.

Yes, the annoying misspelling of "tye" reflects the actual name of the beer.
I tried so many beers from this brewery, and I found one fresh ale I quite liked! Yay me!
Pours a darker hued amber/orange. Smell is nice and robust, with ... wait for it ... rye, some definite caramel malt, and a rich, almost earthy pine hop profile.
This beer tasted so much better than the other brews, I was taken aback. I hope my standards weren't lowered. A nice, rich rye/malt backing with some hops to balance. Prickly on the tongue. More thick than their other brews, and the only one I would be eager to revisit.
