On-tap at Back Street (Irvine)

A: The beer pours an almost neon yellow color and it's incredibly pale with a short lived white head.

S: Very cidery. It's got an almost apple juice aroma that seems to be augmented in the fruit department by some pears. Certainly some corn in there, and a lot of sugar (smells very, very sweet).

T: Oh boy, this is not good. How did this beer come to taste like cardboard? I get a mild hop character that is sort of grassy and floral. A lot of corn on the palate too.

M: The body is light as can be with a high level of carbonation.

D: I guess to put a positive spin on this dreadful beer: at least it wasn't skunky.

Sampled 1/27/2011 at the brewpub.

Pours clearish yellow, not a whole lot of retention or lacing.

Aroma is corn, apple cider, corn, Tecate, and grass.

Flavor is crappy. If Tecate made a cider and dumped some grass clippings in, squeezed in a lime, and then soaked some cardboard in it this is what you would get.

Body is light and lacks drinkability.
