14oz enjoyed in a tulip. This is a sour brown aged on oak chips.
A: Brown, with a crimson tinge and a small light brown head.
S: Quite vinous, with notes of plum (strongest), currant, and dark grape. Light pear notes. There's a moderate vinegar quality with an evident lactic sourness. Oak is faint.
T: Moderate lactic sourness up front, with prominent notes of dark fruit: plum, currant, and grape. Not much wild character, mostly lactic sourness. Oak is faint once again. The brown base shows through a bit more in the flavor. Vinegar is at a moderate level, but acetic acidity is low.
M: Medium in body with low carbonation. Mouthfeel is smooth and sticky.
Overall: A nice dark sour. Tame, improving the drinkability.
