Enjoyed on tap at the Brewer's Den. Poured medium amber with a pleasant black tea aroma that carried on through to the palate. Reminded me of the English Ale called Whitbread. Hops have a metallic character, and round out the flavor nicely. Easy drinking.

The beer is topped by a pale, light tan colored head that is wispy, yet fully covering the top of this draught beer. The beer itself is a bright, reddish amber color. This has a nice fruity aroma reminiscent of raisins and berries. There is some hoppy citrus character here as well, in fact this becomes the dominant note over time. I really am digging this aroma, it is light, yet perfectly noticeable.
The taste is lightly sweet with a caramel-like maltiness and a fruitiness that is again a mix of berry and citrus. There is a light bitterness throughout, that is quite noticeable, yet not so overwhelming that it drowns out other flavor notes. The hop character manifests itself as a gentle herbal note, and a bit of pine adds some sharp spicy notes; the hop character in this is quite good. This is very quaffable, as it just seems to disappear out of my glass. This beer is really well balanced, which helps with the quaffable quality; it is light but there is enough flavor and character to keep me interested in what I am drinking.
