Received a 750ml bottle from a friend with a family/work connection with the brewery in 2019 and I believed was brewed and aged in bourbon barrels in 2016/2017. If memory serves correctly this retailed for $100. Shared with a tasting group this afternoon and finishing the remnants tonight.
Beer poured brown with a very nice off white head.
Nose is bourbon barrel forward with hints of vanilla.
Taste is bourbon forward with honey sweetness, vanilla, and dark fruits. Hopping and bourbon provide a really nice balance.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall this beer has the ability to age another 10 years easily. If you have a bottle hang onto it until 2030!
