Black in the middle, brown to the edge, and dark red on the edge with a 1/3" beige head on the top. Aroma was sweet, not so much cherry, but sugar.
Taste, thick syrup like viscosity. Hit the wood acrid notes, not overwhelming. Hid alcohol decently, but the cherry came through hard in the mouthfeel.
Gonna turn off people who always use the robitussin decriptor for thick cherry stout brews, this is what the beer does in this instance.

Ontap at sun devil liquor. Black and brown, red edge, small tan head, aroma was syrupy sweet.
Taste, still syrupy and sweet, good amount of wood flavor to it. It's good in small quantities, hides the alcohol well. If ur not a fan of cherry beers, stay away, this one is heavy on the cherry tip.

A basketful of cherry aroma comes out of the glass. The beer really needs to warm up a little to brink out its fruity wonderfulness. Color was opaque black. No head, served in a snifter at Tops. Ber could have used a little more body but it was still a really nice beer to drink.

Full and viscous body, served with about a finger of tan foam which dissipates pretty quickly. No lace on the goblet.
Cherry-filled chocolate on the aroma. Smells quite sweet, and a little bit like someone put cough syrup into my stout...generously, I notice grenadine, cocoa powder, and caramel malt.
The flavor leans heavily to the sweet side, as chocolate gangs up with cherry juice to overpower the roasted notes and hop presence. Quite flavorful, just a hint on the watery thin side.
Alcohol is just barely noticeable in the finish. The flavors work together nicely but the overwhelming sweetness helps me keep the distance from another glass.

Enjoyed on tap at Tops, poured into a snifter.
Syrupy purple that becomes thin yet black like paint-dyed water. A very short-lived head of light tan dissipates to nothingness. I can count maybe ten bubbles. Obviously, no lace.
In the nose: milk chocolate and grenadine at the first pass. Deeper investigation reveals increased complexity -- maple syrup, sweet cocoa, Morello cherries, a bit of espresso. Leans to the sweet cherry side, but the roast is not to be forgotten.
Tangy molasses emerges in the flavor before I'm hit by syrupy sweet cherry juice. Milk chocolate and a bit of dark coffee also appear, but both are slightly overpowered by the cherry. Very sweet.
Tangy bitterness grips the sides of the tongue and lingers between sips. It's nearly flat, although the body is a nice, buttery medium. Very slightly noticeable alcohol in nose.
A bit off balance on the sweet side, but I still dig it. Nice combo of cherries and roast and chocolate, which are all flavors that work incredibly well together. However, one glass is enough due to the sweetness.
