An American pale ale base brewed with honey, the juice from tart Wisconsin cherries, and American-grown hops — but these were added only during whirlpool. No hops in the boil? MADNESS.
Rosewater in hue, clear and effervescent. The cherries add their tinge. A thin, silky head of pinkish white dissipates quickly and can't be sustained by the hyperactive bubbles. Garnished with a maraschino cherry.
Bright hop aroma, honeysuckle. Floral. Some red apple, caramel, a hint of tart cherry. Maybe some orange peel.
Clean flavor. Floral hops, like roses, hint of honey, a touch of wheat bread. Flash of green hop flavor at the swallow. Cherries are mostly noticeable as a feeling, a tartness that grips the sides of the tongue between sips. Fair amount of bitterness despite the unusual hop addition timing.
Medium-light, highly effervescent. Crisp, clean. Refreshing. Good for summer.
A solid beer. Nothin outrageous — the cherries add just enough.
