Located inside Tall Paul's bar. The decor is a mix of German and American Western (or is it country? I don't know the difference). Anyway, I like the German feel but the country is not my scene. About 20 drafts to choose from, all solid selections. Plenty of room, average service. All of my friends like it more than I do for whatever that's worth.

 

 

 

 

First off, this isn't a taproom per se. Alligator brewing is the little operation inside Tall Paul's brewhouse which is a liquor/wine/beer bar. They play live music on the weekends, there is a cover after 9 on those weekends and the place is slammed (200-300 people). The music is very loud so if you're just looking to try Alligator Brewing beers, go during the week before night falls.

As far as the beers, they're solidly average. They're perfectly fine representations of many styles, but not much more then that. Reasonably priced ($5 for a pint or snifter of higher ABV beers) I tend to stick to these beers when I visit Tall Paul's. Three C's to the Wind (IPA) is recommended. Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly.

Great place. Gets a little too crowded for my taste on the weekends with non craft drinkers as they also havea full bar. Their deep horizon stout is delicious and order it everytime. The place has a great vibe with skee ball and a jumbo connect 4 along with many other games for people to enjoy as they sip on booze. I really enjoy going here.
