Off tap pint poured at the brewery.
Aroma-Has a very nice smell of hops barley or wheat and some fruit.
Appearance- A pitch black brew with a small tan head
Taste- Fantastic!!! This is an excellent example of a dunkelweizen.
Palate- A medium bodied beer with a moderate level of carbonation.
Overall- I love this beer. I can't get enough of it

A: Had this beer on-tap, poured into a pint glass at Gene's Haufbrau. Had a dark brown color and a thick consistency. There was a small amount of off white, creamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Not much lacing.
S: An interesting aroma of wheat, hops, and a little dark fruit.
T: Tasted like it smelled: A good amount of wheat, a hint of hops, malt, and (it seemed to me) some dark fruit (plums, perhaps?). Definitely not your typical Dunkelweizen flavor, but very dynamic and surprisingly complex.
M: A well-carbonated beer with a lively finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An unusual take on an old school German style that mostly succeeds. Probably not for everyone, but worthwhile.
