Dark brown color. Thin, beige head. Chocolate, cinnamon, ginger, and roasted malt are in the aroma. Moderately sweet, with a lot of spices and soft, roasted bitterness at the end.

A serviceable porter. Taste is average to decent; you can taste the plum pudding, but it competes with a metallic taste which is also quite pronounced in in the smell. Biggest drawback to me is the mouthfeel: it is thin and quite carbonated, which just doesn't suit a dark porter IMO. I'd expect a strong "plum pudding" porter like this to have more viscosity and not be so carbonated. It's almost soda-like.
On the whole it's an acceptable porter. I'd try it if it was on tap somewhere, but I won't seek it out again in stores.
