L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a dark brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Not a whole lot of lacing.
S: A very underwhelming aroma of roasted malt, maple syrup, chocolate, and vanilla.
T: Tasted of a bit of maple syrup (kind of fleeting; needed more), a hint of vanilla (not too much), a decent amount of roasted malt (present throughout; a major ingredient), and some mild milk chocolate notes (sweet, but not cloyingly so). Not a terrible flavor, but definitely underpowered. The ingredients needed a bit more oomph.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth, somewhat dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Kind of a misfire of a beer, but not without some good qualities.
