This fancifully-named, second member of our accidental “Pants Series” is a Belgian Dubbel with a mahogany color. The flavor leads with a sweetness and hints of chocolate, finishing dry, with a complementary fruity aroma from the Belgian yeast. As knights go, it’s a tasty one.

A: Had on-tap at Gene's Haufbrau. Had a dark brown color and a murky consistency. There was a small amount of creamy head that quickly dissipated. Good lacing.
S: A surprisingly sweet aroma, with a lot malt thrown in as well.
T: Tasted of malt - lots of malt as you might expect - and also some caramel. There was a mild fruit element (plums?), too. Not quite as robust and complex as I would have expected, but a decent flavor.
M: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: In spite of some deficiencies, this a pretty drinkable beer.
