"...stings the nostrils..."
We didn't want to make your mother's Double IPA. Sex Panther was made with an off-kilter, Belgian-leaning malt bill, imparting some dark fruit characteristics to this otherwise insanely American-hopped beer. Citrus comes from a couple of the big C's, and of course the 10-pound Amarillo dry hop. 60% of the time, it's hoppy all the time.

A: Poured from a growler to a tulip glass. Had a copper color and a clear consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Good lacing.
S: A nice (exactly what you'd expect) aroma of hops, malt, and some citrus.
T: Tasted pretty much like it smelled: A good amount of hops, malt (more than you might think), and a little citrus. A typical DIPA flavor. At first it seems like the malt is overpowering the hops, but it gets better as it goes along.
M: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A solidly made, drinkable IPA.
