We had all kinds of fun with our Laser Pants. But when it’s just too damned hot for Laser Pants, it’s time to bust out Laser Schwarz. This black lager has the malt, chocolate, and somewhat roasty character that the color would make you expect, but its low ABV and light body make it highly drinkable.

Served this beer on tap, at the Brewery. Poured a black color, produced an average tan head, featured good retention and good lacing. The aroma of this classic Schwarzbier consisted of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium bodied, this brew had a foundation of roasted malt, coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Clean finish and nice smooth mouthfeel. Overall, its a nice session beer, a unique take on a classic style- leave it to a craft brewer to create a new style....american Schwarzbier??? Its worth a shot- Try one!

A: Had this beer on-tap, poured into a pint glass at Gene's Haufbrau. Had a black color and a thick consistency. There was a small amount of tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A nice aroma of malt, chocolate, and a little coffee.
T: Basically, this beer tasted like it smell: A fairly high level of malt, a hint of dark chocolate, and a little coffee in the finish. Doesn't so much taste like a schwarzbier as it does a porter. A good, solid flavor.
M: A fair amount of carbonation, with a smooth, creamy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: While not a classic schwarzbier, Laser Schwarz is definitely focused and well made. Drinkable.
