A - pours near black with about a half finger of chocolate head. Dissipates relatively quickly. Only a thin patch remains in the center of the surface and a ring around the outside. Small amounts of lacing stick to the side.
S - lots of vanilla, molasses, dark fruits (raisin), and lots of oaky sweet bourbon
T - tons of dark fruit and bourbon. Not very sweet at all, more of a sourish flavor, grape is what it reminds me of although I'd be surprised if it was grape. Slight sweet caramel. The more I drink the more the sourness type flavor dominates. Not overpowering but a JD finish.
M - good mouthfeel, smooth, full bodied but not very chewy
O - pretty good, im just having a hard time getting past the grapish sourness. Very tasty, quite drinkable too, which is kind of surprising
